My stock radiator was 19”, and so that’s what I ordered. I think they make a 21” as well. Not that it helps what you’re asking. Me too. Summit has a nice Blueprint engines HEI distributor for a hundred bucks. I ordered it up 2nd day, will be here on Saturday. I’m not messing with Amazon junk, I’m sure this is what this one is.- ChuckN

Well I MAY have found an issue. I pulled the distributor, and connected the ground wire to the ground on the battery, positive wire to the battery wire, and put the test light to the C terminal/ positive battery post and rotated the distributor. Good thoughts- I did put fresh Ethanol free with Stabil last November when I parked it, always a possibility. @legopnuematic for sure. Maybe- I’ll see if I can test that too @82SquareBurb Coil seems to be fine now- I thought my meter defaults to “auto” mode but it doesn’t . I now get 0.8 ohms on primary, 7K on secondary.- ChuckN

Well, I just took a reading from the black ground wire to the back of the coil where the button goes- I don’t even get a reading- it sits on OL. The yellow and red wire read 0.8.- ChuckN

Well, all the rockers are absolutely fine. I rotated the engine and checked each one. Since I’d ordered them and picked them up, I put in the new plugs as well. Maybe you’re right- engine is dead solid quiet though, and I’ve got even compression everywhere- if that were the case and I had something off with the valvetrain, wouldn’t that show up on the compression? Not against checking anything though.- ChuckN

Well, too early to tell, but after a little research, I’m my own worst enemy. I’d read that aluminum heads need anti-seize for the plug threads. But first of all I didn’t know that you’re not supposed to use copper anti-seize. And if you use anything at all, it’s supposed to be a pinhead sized...- ChuckN

Thanks! I have an old junky clear distributor cap that the last time before I took the engine apart, I set the engine on top dead center and marked the distributor cap. So it’s kind of like my little tool to set it where the starting point is. Good info though, who knows where true top dead...- ChuckN
