    Does sound like a dead short somewhere. Since it happens when cranking the engine using the ignition switch and after doing a R&R on the column I would be looking at wiring diagrams to determine if any wires that affect the gauge cluster are present in the column. See if anything got pinched on...

    Just match the subs sealed box requirements to the box of choice and you'll be good. Just watch your amp and subs power settings. That's why I bought the all-in-one setup hoping that Rockville matched everything up properly and put my worries about an external amp to rest.

    Got phase one done on my daily at local detailer / undercoater “Gottschs Goo” using Dinitrol 4941. Phase two for exterior paint ceramic coating, phase three for interior ceramic protection.

    They all have their pros and cons, Edelbrocks CAN be fussy, I lean to Holley but can be pricey. See if others chime in, there’s some smart guys here.

    Return it, O’Reillys has a return policy that you can use called “Customer Dissatisfaction” for a reason. I worked for O’Reilly and it is a known policy if you decide to go that way. Call their corporate line if you get grief.
