What have you done to your square lately??

I've always played with/changed exhaust on my vehicles and love playing with system designs, plus I like trying new mufflers. Headers, X or H-pipe, size of pipe and overall design of the system all play a huge role in how it sounds. My C10 has 1 3/4" long tube headers, 2.5" pipe with an X as far...

    Carpet

ACC is the only carpet I've ever used. I just make sure to go through someone that carries the correct color. I always get the mass backed as well for extra insulation

Save my sanity: where is the shift gate on my 85 column?

When I did the LS/4L60 swap in my 305/T350C '85 originally, I bought that Lokar kit. Tried and tried and tried, eventually just threw it in the trash. Spent about an hour playing with the stock rods and got them adjusted properly, never had another issue. Sounds like you may need a whole column...

What have you done to your square lately??

^That. There's lots of different versions of chambered mufflers. This is what they were in the '60s/70s: Blowmasters: Spintechs:

What have you done to your square lately??

Lol not a chance. I agree, it does sound awesome but it drones like a **** and I as much as I long haul this thing, I couldn't stand it. I know for sure I'm adding resonators to cut down on the clap but haven't decided if I'm gonna keep the Corsa's on it or try something else. I'm gonna plan the...

What have you done to your square lately??

Set the engine/trans down in the frame on Tuesday to check clearances and start planning for the exhaust Then pulled it back out, threw the engine on the stand and set the cab down on the chassis to get it off the lift. Our owner needed the lift for a couple days

What new tools have you got lately?

I remember I was in college ~08ish the first time I heard of Amazon. I was buying my books at the school store and a friend of mine told me about Amazon. I remember most of us then thought of Amazon about like we think of Temu now, know alot of people that have bought stuff off there but don't...

What have you done to your square lately??

Got all the TinWorks stuff installed on Friday. All I lack at this point is drilling the last few holes for that rear crossmember and bolting in the transmission crossmember and the chassis is done :happy160:

What new tools have you got lately?

Went to HF for a carbide burr set and was shocked to see them for $80 for 4 of them. Decided to look on Amazon and got a 10pc set for $35. Ordered it on the couch Sunday and it was on my doorstep this morning by 6am. These had great reviews, so I feel good about doing that over the Chief's at HF

Rear speakers for K10 with 3 point seatbelt

Without seeing your retractor this is just a shot in the dark. But the retractor I posted has plenty of room behind it for the speaker bracket to slide behind it. It mounts up top to the rear cab inner panel, then it only has 1 leg mounting it (that silver bracket on the bottom of it) at the...

Rear speakers for K10 with 3 point seatbelt

I'm assuming you have the same retractor as our '76 shop truck. Without having one of those brackets on hand, hard to say, but I think it'd be pretty easy to modify to work. I think you could get away with cutting a slot for the bottom retractor mount to slid into the speaker bracket and just...

VGG 1776 Clear vs Poppy’s Glossed Out Clear

Man, that's a good looking truck! I def would hate to hear you had a bad experience with clear. That's definitely single stage if it buffs out that nice. If she's an outdoor dog, there's only so much you can do though. I'm not sure how well ceramic holds up on single stage, but my daily '05...

VGG 1776 Clear vs Poppy’s Glossed Out Clear

Yeah, I went down the wormhole a couple years back researching this stuff when my clear started flaking off. I was hoping to be able to spray on/wipe on just the areas I was having issues with and seal it back up. Then I found lots and lots of horror stories. I do like the look on certain trucks...
