    I certainly wouldn't blame ya on those two. They're both black originally anyway so no harm no foul. Depending on the level of rustiness, you might look into the Eastwood rust converter, it's black and will stop the rust completely.

    Welcome from NE Ga! Just any FYI though, an OBS is the '88-98 trucks, these are referred to as C10s or Squarebodies. Figured I'd throw that out there cuz somebody will at some point lol

    Yep, all 4 should stay on with the highs. You either have 1 filament in each bulb burned out or you have high beams in all 4 locations

    I REALLY hate it when they literally just paint everything black, master/reservoir/hardware/AC stuff, even the dryer....and then put chrome VCs and air cleaner on it lol

    How low are we talking? Considering you can't clear a 33 on a stock height 2wd in the front without big block springs and it still rubs then...not gonna happen

    You're not painting the whole engine bay black, right? Just the frame rails/maybe the inner fenders? I hate when guys just rattle can everything black on a not black truck

    Packed up the old suspension goodies that didn’t work out and took inventory of the new goodies. 2026 should be a good year for the square :rockit: She’s lookin’ kinda sad right now. Only driven it twice since May. I’m having big time withdrawals

    I've not seen that emblem reproduced in the aftermarket. I'd venture to guess you'll need to track down a used one and refurb it or retrofit a newer emblem

    Haha glad it was that simple! I've been burned plenty of times over thinking and going way too deep when it's something super simple on the surface. My dad has laughed at my suffering MANY a time and I've finally learned to slow down, step back and try the simple stuff first :rofl:

    If that doesn't do it, then I'd swap that bulb with the other low beam and see if the problem follows. If it does, the bulb is bad even though it's new

    Sounds like you just need a new bulb in that location. Before doing that though, I'd do the wiggle test. Turn the highs on and wiggle the connector to see if the bulb lights up, could just be a loose connector. That happens every once in a while in my truck, I just re-position the plug a bit and...
