    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

Finally got time to start working on getting the “late model” obs seats in. Should be finished tomorrow night. Stumbled across these and grabbed a few off OBSoutpost.com. Pretty slick set up and with 1/8” plate. I welded them in to make them more “permanent” and really like the setup. On...

Flattening the Floor to Allow Use of Any Seat

Most use a blazer/suburban tank for the rear. If I remember right, I just used 18 gauge sheet metal  Probably wasn't an exact gauge match was pretty dadgum close and definitely close enough to not cause any real welding issues.

Flattening the Floor to Allow Use of Any Seat

When I did the work on mine, it was to fit the GMT800 seats in the truck and make it look like it belonged. Success was had :)

Flattening the Floor to Allow Use of Any Seat

And to add to the other input, you'll not be able to get the floor 100% flat because of the frame rails that run under the seats. When I made my mod (moving gas tank to the back and installing newer gen seats), I think we were able to probably get 75% flat. Measure 23.9423 times and cut once.

    Old77’s Oldest Kid’s 1992 S10 Blazer thread

Working on rebuilding the front end this weekend. I’d like to replace the axle seal on the driver side (pictured). Does this inner flanged pull out like a front wheel drive axle would or ????

    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

I'm about 95% confident that I now have the cab interior 100% dry. Just to make sure, though, I went ahead and ordered new weatherstipping for the doors but that last couple big rains that cab has remained dry so that's feeling pretty good. Here pretty soon I'll be getting my audio sorted out...

To register as a vendor, you need to talk to @Shaggy and @Griffin and they can get you set up with that and tell you about the benefits of being a vendor on GMSB :waytogo:

    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

Two things... 1. Going to grab a new-to-me seat for this thing tomorrow. 2. realized that this thing has center-bolt valve covers on it. I thought that was a vortec head thing that came in the later GMT400's and not '92. Am I delusional or what? Did someone upgrade these heads, possibly?

Maybe? Just some real quick looking, just this one piece of '77 trim for a SWB asking price is $255 plus shipping. So who knows. I know that it's one year only so that would drive up the price...

    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

Couldn’t resist taking an iPotato pic coming out of the gas station. New lights and grill up front. This angle also shows the metal work I need to do on the bed and door. The passenger side is certainly the side that needs the most work before I paint it. Also need to de-orange those tow hooks...
