Got my 203 disassembled (mostly) Looks good on the inside. Gears look good, no major wear. Everything got a diesel bath. Started laying out the parts. Still have some disassembly to do. Started the disassembly of the NP203... got some goodies for it. I'm going to fab up a twin stick for it. Got the polyurethane transmission mounts. The chain has some slack in it. I don't know how much is supposed to be in it. Going to need another skull...lol -

Pneumatic Jake, better press plates, put the deck on a roller system, put it on wheels to make it mobile. Put side bars on the deck to stop the side to side movement. Welded big washers on the deck hight bars. Welded angle iron at the bottom for storage of my press break. Put the deck on a... -

The one piece of equipment I didn't think I'd use much... was I wrong. It's a Hobo freight 20 ton press with a bunch of upgrades. It has paid for it's self 10 fold. -

Yes it is. I'm BLET (Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainman) Local 834, and we are apart of the Teamsters. -

Got the transmission cross-member out of the 73 Jimmy. Got the upper brackets out (Finally) Pressure washed the pieces. I figured the big a$$ bend in it wasn't supposed to be there. So a bit of time with the 20 ton press flattened it back out. Started sandblasting the upper brackets. Going to... -

Looks good. You should have put them inside the frame and tubbed it... lol box the frame, narrow a Ford 9 inch... it's just a little extra work :happy175: :happy175: -

That is a very interesting read. Thanks for sharing. Learned a few things. I just don't know if my brain is worth 100.00 every 3 months...lol. I hate it when the voices in my head go silent... I know they are planning something, and it's usually not good... -
