    Smoke machine advice

I'd check with air pressure and soapy water in a squirt bottle first. There should be a test port under hood for doing this, you'll need to regulate air pressure down to 8psi or so. Alternatively set your shop vac hoses to blow instead of suck, stick the hose in the fuel filler and look for...

Dead after new new alternator belt

You need to buy fusible links those aren't just wires. Do some research on fusible links.

    Oil pressure sensor questions

That's an easy one. The single wire one controls the pressure gauge. The other one controls the fuel pump or choke depending on the year of the truck

That is a burnt fusible link, looks another one right behind it. I'd bet that's your problem

    Turbo 350 to overdrive

There were three different tailshaft lengths, for turbo hydro 350. Your truck should be a 9 inch. The difference in length is about 5/8th inch, there's a pretty good chance your driveshaft will work.

Dead after new new alternator belt

I started a fire changing a fuel filter with the battery connected. Freak accident, wouldn't have happened if the battery was disconnected, but I'm just not going to disconnect the battery everytime I open a hood.

Is an EGR Delete Kit Worth It for Performance and Longevity?

What are you working on? I had everything written up well for a gas truck. Then reread your post and saw diesel mechanics,so I deleted everything. I'm not aware of diesel squares having egr valves.

what sensor is this? was this?

You can plug it,or leave it as is. It would require a vaccum source from it to the carburetor. And a line to whatever it controlled. At a certain temp it would open and allow vacuum to pass through it ,to control something. With no vaccum source from the carb it isn't doing anything. If it was...

You are supposed to time them with the hose removed and plugged.

Post #19 yes you should have vacuum advance on F not ported vacuum.

    carb connections...vacuum booster connection

Okay so you were not power brake in the first place. You should relocate the brake pedal pushrod on your pedal or buy a pedal from a power brake equipped car. I think I put a link up already to a previous incident. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/squishy-brakes.44204/page-3

Turn signals don't work when headlights are on

That's not going to help him. His problem is with the side marker bulbs,he used leds and leds are polarity dependant. The problem is the side markers need bulbs that aren't polarity sensitive.

Turn signals don't work when headlights are on

The way the side markers are wired on these trucks is very unusual they pull ground in different polarity depending on if the turn signal is on.Most cars don't change bulb polarity, and most LEDs are polarity sensitive. You'll need polarity neutral bulbs.

    Electronic fuel pump wiring

And all I told him was that setup doesn't shut off if the engine dies and he can wire it himself, exactly the same as that setup for $25.00 saving him $160.00. O.P. This relay will work fine if you chose to make your own wires. If not painless also makes a prewired kit,and I just discovered it...

Back fires are usually ignition. If you are sure all the wires are on the right terminals and routed to the correct plugs try bumping the timing a few degree see if that helps.. mark the distributor base and the the manifold, with a punch, paint dots whatever,so you know where you were.Rotate the...

    Electronic fuel pump wiring

In their instructions step 4 use # 85 on the 10.00. relay. Their #7 use number terminal 86 on the relay. Their#8 use terminal 87 on the relay. Their Circuit breaker is Battery or alternator positive to terminal 30 on the relay.

    Electronic fuel pump wiring

^^^ there is no way I'd use that harness it is ridiculously overpriced and is setup so the pump runs any time the key is on. I can duplicate that exact setup for 25.00 or less. I can also tell you how to wire it just like theirs all you have to do is relocate the wire I told you to run to the...

    Electronic fuel pump wiring

If you want.to add a prime circuit to the pump relay circuit in post 3. Add a wire from terminal r on your starter solenoid to terminal 87 on the relay which is also where your pump power is. When you crank, the starter solenoid will energize your pump for prime. You could put a momentary...

    rough running....backfiring 350

That's ported Don't mess with vacuum lines or distributor yet. 1 thing at a time, checkbthe firing order. Then we can move to the next thing. When you start messing with multiple things you sometimes confuse the issue. Whoever disconnected your vacuum advance did not do you any favors. That is...

    rough running....backfiring 350

That should have a hose going to a manifold vacuum source. There will be arguments to follow some are going to say it goes to ported. Ported is an emissions crutch to light the fire later at idle reducing CO at idle.
