Unusual way to bleed brakes. Just might help someone.

Makes perfect sense to me piston extended, air and fluid in the chamber in the caliper. Compress the caliper to push the air and fluid out instead of using the master. I may use a pedal depressor also, I always wanted to make a pedal depressor out of a pogo stick. That would be awesome.

Unusual way to bleed brakes. Just might help someone.

Okay I am always thinking about car stuff, sometimes for no reason. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have to swap out front hubs, and calipers on the daily tomorrow, hubs calipers and rotors are coming off another vehicle with good working brakes and bearings. So me thinking what could...

    700r4 TCC lockup problems AGAIN!!!

Okay well all the carbureated squares git a vacuum switch. I don't have a spare and don't know the number or the specs. Sorry. You could use any normally closed Hobbs switch. Put a vacuum gauge on manifold vacuum, see what kind of vacuum you are pulling at lean cruise,;then find a hill you'd...

You should already have a vacuum switch for it under the hood. That was how the factory did it. It shouldbe on manifold vaccum by the brake booster

    Overheating Rebuilt 350

No thermostat. Running, look in the radiator, make sure water is circulating. Replace tstat after engine breakin. I hope you are keeping things up in the 2000 rpm range for the first 30 minutes. Blow air in from the front and put your shroud on

    700r4 TCC lockup problems AGAIN!!!

Personally I'd just wire up my own using a vaccum switch in the power supply and the 4th gear pressure switch. Anytime you are in the throttle vacuum drops, switch opens, converter unlocks, and only locks in 4th gear.

    700r4 TCC lockup problems AGAIN!!!

Bench test your solenoids if one is good, If you're bored or curious you can eliminate the 4th gear switch . Ground one lead of the solenoid. Provide 12v with a toggle to the other side and go for a drive you should be able to lock the converter from the dash.

    Grounding question

I've said this before, but I'll say it again. Cut a junk 3 conductor extension cord in half at the bad spot. Put alligator clips on the wires. Now plug the female into the male you have a polarized long jumper set. My male and female end are only a foot long so I can just plug them into any...

    Fuel tank switch

Honestly first thing I'd do is pull the switch, check continuity, flip the switch the other direction see if continuity switches.

What new tools have you got lately?

A little tip for those that don't know. If you buy a flaring tool you can buy the long preterminated lines from the parts store. Cut off one flare, slip on your ends if they are different and re flare 1 end. Save the other cut off section for another use. This way they are the correct length, the...

    Grounding question

This is actually very simple. Get a 12v test light, check for power inside the socket on the little bulb contacts. Do not let your probe touch the sides of the socket. If you have power in the socket. 1 of these things is going on. 1 The bulb isn't getting good contact or the bulb is bad. Check...

    700r4 TCC lockup problems AGAIN!!!

Easy enough. Remove the module, supply a power source, if you can lock and unlock the converter with your power source. It is the module or the wire to the module. You can check resistance on the solenoid, and cycle it on the bench with 12v to see if will pass air.. Not sure how the Bowler...

    Overheating Rebuilt 350

Are you sure you got a reverse rotation pump? Lot of work, but big risk here if you are trying to break in a flat tappet cam. I'd pull the pump back off and make sure it's right. I'd also take the thermostat out and replace it after break in.Also inspect the pump, just because it's new does not...

Start a new thread, I wrote questions and suggested fixes based on the title and first post not the last post left by a new poster, on a different vehicle. We don't come in and read last post first in case someone has changed what we are working on.

You can screw wood strips( jenga blocks) to the amp mounts and put velcro on the jenga blocks. That'd gets your aur gap back.

    Well that sucks

It's the evaporator. Evaporator leaks are a reason I am not a fan of charging a/c with propane or other flammable gas.
