What size/length/thread pitch bolts for brace on NP208 transfer case?

If it is a 3/4 wrench size it's going be 1/2 13, check depth with a screwdriver I'm going to say 1.5 inches would work.

Fuel line connections on buchered 85

I think he's looking at the line to the charcoal cannister and the rear brake line coming from the combination valve. He needs to look just in front of the passenger side motor mount,I'd bet his lines are there.

What size/length/thread pitch bolts for brace on NP208 transfer case?

See I don't think I was thinking of the right thing which is why I asked for a pic. I was thinking of the braces to the converter cover. I happened to have the cover, the struts and brackets off my 75,I was going to check for him

Can I remove my ecm (88 - 94) and still maintain the factory abs braking systems

You'll need a map sensor, and a throttle position sensor and I believe a crank position sensor, might be able to use tach signal for crank position. Anyway a 4l60e will need to have a computer that knows rpm, speed and load to control the transmission. You could go full manual with it. But if it's...

    Terminator X Conversion - 1991 TBI

I have no doubt I could make it work. But we all have different skill sets. All the under hood and transmission wiring is there,so use it like a stand alone on a retrofit car. That takes care of engine and transmission. Now use your remaining harness for lights horn etc. Again just like this was...

What parts do you carry with you?

I drove from Oklahoma to Prairie Village Kansas on a charged battery, dead alternator,no lights no radio etc. Didn't turn it off so no cranking. To be fair this was a long time ago I was pulling a trailer with another vehicle on it. So it is possible I swapped in the battery from the other car at...

    Gear Ratio Help

I wasn't even thinking in my earlier post, just reading and responding. My Burb was TBI 350 with a towing cam, flat tops,31x10.50s and 3.73 gear and it was always in 4th on the highway and it didn't struggle a bit.

I was thinking of you today. I spotted a Malibu wagon sitting, doesn't look too rough. And I thought man that would be good place to put my other 454. When I have some time I'm going to back see if I can talk to whoever owns it,it doesn't look bad from the road, but it's been sitting a while.

Only pic I have of it in my phone. Hope to get it in primer..Late spring, drive it in primer over the Summer, then paint in the fall, fingers crossed. The primered ones not mine but when I saw it I thought I can live with that short term Edit. The reason I only have one pic,is I bought a big SD...

    Stuck spindle bearing help

Continuous bead when the bead cools it will contract that will pull the race towards center. You could even weld a very short piece of strap across the opening on the race, and drive it out with a pipe from the other side. We use to take valve seats out that way too, weld an old valve to the seat...

    Gear Ratio Help

Run it in 3rd gear. A th400 high gear is the same as 3rd in your 700r4. If you feel like you need more low end than switch differential gears. But all you are doing then is improving the low end and moving the 4th gear to what you are already running in third.

I don't have a problem with someone doing a car correct within reason and calling it restored. Yes I know the difference, but finding a correct date code master cylinder or correct date code wheels is not practical for 90% of people. The ones that get me are the ones that 75% of the car is wrong...

    Stuck ball joint

Pound the ball joint studs through the back of the ball joint. Now you'll have a hollow ball joint make a relief cut or 2 in the hollow body.

    Stuck spindle bearing help

Get as much crap out of the way as you can old rollers etc. Take a mig welder, weld a bead all the way around the inside of the race. When it cools it will shrink causing the race to contract, and practically fall out. I used to do that 25 years ago changing pressed in FWD bearings on the...

    Thinking about streamlining my tools.

Same battery platform is a huge bonus in the long run. Used to be if I wanted a tool,I picked what I liked or what was the best deal, what was on sale and didn't think about down the road needing to buy ,snap on,kobalt, dewalt,Milwaukee rigid, black and decker,Craftsman, ryobi replacement batteries...

My view point is the term has been misused by so many, for so long that most people don't even know what restoring a car is. There are guys out there,I know of one right now, searching for a NOS or Rebuilt brake master cylinder with the correct casting number and date code. I Know someone looking...

96 Fuel Pump Strainer Does Not Fit

Put a AF gauge on it and find out if and when you are lean. If you are lean you are going to have to do something to up the fuel. I don't want to create an argument but increasing air (displacement) but not providing more fuel does not make sense to me.
