    Power steering with Headers

305 and 350 1968 and later 73 and later for trucks 82 up for corvettes, all had the same bolt holes on the front of tge heads, the block and all had the same length waterpump. If things aren't fitting correctly you didn't use everything off the front of the 305 or you've assembled something wrong...

1988 Crew Cab 454 TBI Knock

It's internal engine. Right now you have a pretty good chance of doing a reasonably priced rebuild. Keep driving it and it may not be rebuildsble at all.

Fixing and finding backup light wires 78k10

When you go to backup put your automatic shift column in reverse and see if your back up lights come on. The backup light switch on an automatic was at the base of the column. If they didnt change columns the wires should be down there. Look for light green and pink. The pink is probably already...

1988 Crew Cab 454 TBI Knock

I stayed out,due to the multitude of things it can be. If you can't hear wrist pin knock, from,a cracked flex plate from a collapsed lifter,or a bad efe valve etc,etc,etc.. You should take it to someone that can. A knocking noise diagnoses by text just isn't the best option IMHO.

    1981 k1500 stalling....

Okay that has a vacuum modulator in the transmission. Pull the hose off at the transmission, see if the hose has transmission fluid in it. If so the diaphragm in the modulator is ruptured and you coukd be sucking transmission fluid. Plug the line and see if it runs better. As for plugged Idle...

The vacuum tube is vacuum for the heater controls. Look for a vacuum reservoir to hook it to or tee into a line going to it. The electrical connector I need a better view your thumb is covering most of the connector.

    1990 Crewcab Parts Interchange

Your problem is most of the squarebody family died in 1987, C10 K10 went away in 86. 87 R+V series were 1 year only, and all the light duty trucks became GMT400. So Square stuff after 87 is going to be harder, and some of it you'll have to use some common sense and buy stuff for earlier more...

    Headlight help needed

My thoughts are you have a bad connection, you have enough connection to power 2 lights,4 overloads the circuit. A second thought though much more remote is you have a short in your high beam circuit, when you turn on the high beams it trips the breaker in the headlight switch.

VGG 1776 Clear vs Poppy’s Glossed Out Clear

First wash it with bon ami, ajax, similiar abrasive tub and sink cleaner. You'd be amazed what an ajax bath with a sponge and water will do.

    torque converter lock up

You are probably right. To the best of my knowledge only California emissions squarebodys had an ecm in 86.

1984 K10 LS Swap - Lots of Little Problems

Okay, you and I read that different. I thought he swapped the plug between the injectors and the problem stayed on 2. I said throw it on batch fire to see if the problem stays on 2 no matter where the injector plug is would IMHO eliminate the injection as the problem. Again this was my thinking...

    brake valve help

They make a centering tool for the combination valve that will make your life easier. As for replacing the load sensing valve with an adjustable valve if yours is bad that's a great work around.

    torque converter lock up

All 700r4s can be run with no ecm and lockup can be made to work. Post a wiring diaghram for the year and vehicle the transmission came from and I can tell you how to wire it. Some required a ground and a hot lead Some the tcc solenoid is grounded in the transmission. If the tcc solenoid doesn't...

1984 K10 LS Swap - Lots of Little Problems

If he configures it for batch fire, swaps the plug on 2 and 4 if the problem is still on 2 it's not the injection it's something else.

1984 K10 LS Swap - Lots of Little Problems

Reread # 46 when he swaps connectors the problem stays with number 2,it doesn't move with the harness. IMHO that wouldn't point to harness continuity, driver issue or even firmware. I need to think this some more this is a puzzler. Did you ever run compression? Have tried pressure testing the...

    1981 k1500 stalling....

What transmission does it have. If it runs good at fast idle, then doesn't run off of fast idle. Okay fast Idle the choke is on and the throttle plates are held open pulling fuel from the transition circuit. To me that indicates you are probably lean at idle. Clogged Idle passages,intake...

    First Carb rebuild

If this came of a running.car count how many turns out your idle mixture screw is so you can put it back where it was .Careful when seating the mixture screw just tighten until it just touches, you don't want to damage the needle,or the base plate. Go to a music store get all the clippings...

What size/length/thread pitch bolts for brace on NP208 transfer case?

Push comes to shove you can use Allen's. They are usually better than grade 8. Or m10.9

What size/length/thread pitch bolts for brace on NP208 transfer case?

M16 I'm assuming they mean wrench size in which case it will be a 10mm bolt. You are correct 1.5 or 2.0 would be pitch. 35,40,50 Is mm in length. When that info and a little investigation on your part you can get a bolt and washer from your local hardware store. Check depth of the hole with a...
