    Trailer tires

Cheap radials often have a significant crown in the tread as well. Quality of the tire is everything, no matter if it's bias or radial.

RABBIT TRAILS: Dealing With Rust, the Old School Way

Also, while it is a product that is very useful in some instances, it most certainly does not stop rust permanently.

RABBIT TRAILS: Dealing With Rust, the Old School Way

I didn't watch the video, the title told me enough that I don't need it in my watch history. But your description sounds like the very stuff that has been available from oodles of companies for a very long time. Converts rust to a black/blue, kinda transparent, primed surface. "Big auto" didn't...

    Anyone running this engine?

I have the older 390 horse version from years ago with the reconditioned block and iron Vortec heads. I haven't ever fired it up under my ownership, but it ran well when my buddy had it in his Camaro.

    track bar for 1987 V2500

A track bar should not be needed at all. A tight steering box, sticking ball joint, etc can cause that issue. Or something as simple as an improper toe setting.

    intermittent code 42

In my experience, stumbling while driving has never been the fault of an ignition module. Not in the small cap years anyway. Usually it's a fueling issue or basic tune-up issue like cap/rotor, etc.

    16.5 to 16 wheels 1977 Chevy C20

I used to have a set of those Outlaw II wheels in 16x8. Wish I would have kept them. They went with a Burb that I also wish I would have kept.

I picked up my new-to-me axle, so this item is no longer needed.

    That's Franklin. He's Rusty's trusty steed.

    Suburban overhead console switch

Similar switches were used in other GM overhead consoles and cubbies in the era. If you find a source for new, there's a lot of people that would probably like to know.

    Brass Valve Stem

I typically use those ones in the Allstar listing. The same ones are marketed under many different brands. Just can't find black ones.

    Brass Valve Stem

Can your google-fu find them in a low gloss black finish, like what GM used on some performance car wheels in the 80's? I've had no luck for years.

I didn't know you could get that type in brass. All of them I've run are a nickel type finish of some kind.

Container based shop: 2 post lift placement advice?

That's the other thing we had at the junkyard, an old Ford forklift with 14' or 16' forks on it. Damn that thing was handy, lol. Many cars were picked up by stabbing the forks through the front and back glass, then carrying it around by the roof.

Container based shop: 2 post lift placement advice?

I'm late to the party, but I would choose areas #1 and #2 for the lift as well. I once worked at a junkyard with a couple lifts outside and that's where they were in relation to the shop door. It was very convenient. To complete the package, you may want a work bench next to the lift (N side of...

Fix this Paint? Any ideas that I do not have to repaint the whole Suburban?

Yeah, I was just backing you up. It is 100% for sure not the original paint.

14 Bolt 10.5" Rear Axle -FOUND-

Those are a great axle to use. A little difficult to find and/or expensive though. Those axles are one of the reasons I bought all them 6.6L ambulances... but I couldn't bring myself to part any of them out. Yet. I still have two of them, if one loses and engine or trans, parts are fair game...

Yeah, people upgrade to the TBI sending units for their high pressure EFI swaps that require high pressure pumps. You just need pumps for the sending units you already have.

What have you done to your square lately??

I once saw an '83 Trans Am in the junkyard that someone tried to make look like the Batmobile. It was poorly done (of course) long ago and the bondo was cracking off of rusty metal all over. The mud was 1" thick in a lot of areas. There must have been at least 10 gallons just in the rear of the car.

I see Perry @idahovette is shocked by all this. Western rust ain't got sh!t on Ohio rust, lol.
