    Monroe shocks

More truck like in a good way. The Blisteins allowed for quicker compression of the springs so it absorbed the road a little better. But small movements allowed for a bit of bounce but not a bouncy ride. More like when I would stop the truck they allowed for a bit more weight transfer and then...

    Monroe shocks

Don't get me wrong, they worked well when on really rough roads and they did a good job keeping the truck under control but when I loaded up for camping and towed the boat or hauled 2,000 lbs of fire wood in my trailer I had more suspension travel than I wanted. I am by no means bad talking them...

I have been running Monroe shocks for years now with no complaints. Just don't buy the cheapest ones. Gabriels gave me trouble.

Different approach for dash pad resto. Opinions please!!

Having body work in my background and having worked on several glass bodies on some race machines. I think your idea is very valid. I have entertained this idea as well. Using a good gelcoat should allow for some flexing during the install. Get R Done!

    Left blinker

Check the ground lead for the parking/turn signal socket on that side. Parking light power comes from the brown wire, turn signal comes from the light blue. The side marker gets its ground through the turn signal bulb when the parking lights are on and the light will go out whenever the turn...

    George's 2003 Sub "lucky7"

Took it in to the dealership. The tech plugged in and checked for the lates version of the software in the module for the RKE. The reman module had the correct version and indicated that fob 2 was programmed but it would not retain the fob 1 program. He installed the original module, updated he...

    Surging Idle: Thinking out loud

The rattle from the IAC is normal. The next thing I would look at is the TPS. It may have a dead spot. Another culprit could be a worn throttle Body shaft or the hole where it passes through the body.

    Carburetor Problem

Try to post some good up close picks of the choke linkage setup. Also tell us the part number on the carb. Should be an 8 digit number starting with 17. The choke won't be too bad to get working. After that you can get on with tuning things a bit.

    Steering Gear Box Adjustment

Should be good. Installation isn't too bad. You will need a socket that will Fit the large nut for the pitman arm as well as a pitman arm puller. If you are planning to reuse the pitman arm you may be able to pull it off the old gear without separating the other end from the steering linkage...
