About Those Synthetics and Trusting Big Names

Some have time for both without obsessing, the oil debate is never going away and Kelly has made some great points slash research, nothing I haven't done myself over the years... When in doubt read the ******* fine print on the back and make sure your particular manufacturer has certified it...

    JW's 383 build

Have your machine shop 4 bolt it and ARP stud it, overkill perhaps but my OCD has never allowed me to do a 383 build with a 2 bolt block, 2 bolt main caps tend to "walk" with an aggressive build, I'm just not a fan, cheap insurance is real ! You also mentioned drivability, consider Edelbrock's...

    Preferred SBC intake manifold bolts?

Agree with Mike, ARP best of the best, used ARP everything on every motor I've ever built or worked on with zero failures, granted if you have an intake bolt failure you're either using a Chinesium torque wrench or bolts or both...

What have you done to your square lately??

Wow that would be handy ! I just know they make plate kits to shorten the Squares, perhaps not necessary with a boxed frame but not sure where the boxing ends... I did see a 07 Dmax some years ago that a dude short panst now that's the ultimate truck ! Anyway I was eyeballing a virgin 05 3500...

Lift options and recommendations for a 1980 Jimmy

And Marcos no one answered your tire question unless I read to fast, Generally 315=31" 325=35" bolt on a set of 325/60R/20's on a set of 20X12 -44 offset wheels they look killer on anything and everything !

    489ci tow build...

You da man Bucket I was eyeballing those also but I read using Chevelle headers somewhere and the 2455's have a 3/8" flange versus a 5/16" on the 2457's which I'm sure wont make a crap of difference I'm just an overkill guy... Anyway if you ever bolt them in LMK, sorry for hijacking the thread...
