Interesting info on the truck frames. Though I still believe that the motor is the probable root cause, it's always wise to verify that electrical system integrity is correct so one doesn't ruin a new component that good $$$ is spent on. To check for short to ground, connect 1 lead of your dvom to ground ( battery negative works... -

Okay, a loose connection can cause high resistance, thus overheating that connector. I would splice in a new connector and test the circuit for short to ground PRIOR to operating the motor. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk -

87 stock power steering pump on a 2018 LS swap
I believe the Gen V LT series utilize electronic power steering as well as an engine driven vacuum pump for brake assist. Probably need to look into accessory brackets and pulleys for the swap into a square body. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk- Poppy 87

Best way to ID transmission
If the vacuum pipe is routed to the side of the case near the fluid filler tube, it's a TH400, if the pipe is at the passenger side rear corner of the transmission case it's a TH350 Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk- Poppy 87
