    Bed Floor Question

This is a short bed, supposably an 85. What I find odd is that all four corners have the patch panels and except for surface rust it's a very solid box. I guess it could be a complete floor replacement, I think they did them in five pieces before the one piece floor came out.

    Bed Floor Question

I picked up a decent fleetside box this week and noticed it has separate floor panels in front and behind the wheel wells. My 85 is a one piece, and was wondering if any years came this way, or are these aftermarket panels? Here's a pic of one of the front lap joints, bed it upside down.

    Why is This Blue?

Got a free box of parts from a guy I've been dealing with. In it was this bowtie grill badge, in blue. First one I've ever seen, but then again I haven't really paid attention to badges all that much. The truck was a 80 diesel Silverado if that makes difference. I also got a diesel hood...

    Battery to Starter Cable routing

I think you want to move the cable and frame clip to the vacant hole under your tranny cooling line and before the crossmember rivets. take a closer look at Chengny's pic.

How do these aftermarket bumpers work? I don't see any bumper bolts on the exterior of the bumper, so you must have to buy their bumper brackets to?

    Replacing Fuel Tank Straps

You could easily center punch and drill the rivets out, but I'm not sure the remaining piece of strap will come out without a fight. If you have a welder, I'd grind off the welds, separate the two pieces, remove the old rivets and strap, then put it back together.

steering column....What am I Looking at

I picked up an 80 tilt column today but realized that something's not right with the lower end of it. I'm not familiar with the lower end of the column, but I think I'm looking at the lower bearing that needs to be seated back down in the column and it's missing the bearing retainer. Can someone...
