    I would do that trade. Meyer power angle plow has to be worth 3k or so and as mentioned earlier, squares are appreciating as well as plenty of parts and mostly inexpensive.

    Craigslist or facebook marketplace are 2 good spots to find a confirmed good running used 350. I would avoid a freshly rebuilt engine that has no run time. Expect to pay about $800 to $2,000.

    K10 softer ride

    My k10 rides as smooth or smoother than my c10. Tires will make all of the difference. Get something not so heavy duty with a lot of sidewall.

    Factory Seats; Why do they suck?

    I have Lexus 330 seats in my k5 and 350 seats in my c10. Takes some fabrication and because they are thick, probably not good for someone over 6' but super comfortable and adjustable. Come out of a 3 hour ride totally refreshed.

    Nice to have Nick Transmissions on board. I have 2 700r4 in my stable, both work flawlessly and both were rebuilt at some time before my ownership.I don't beat on my stuff but then my younger days are behind me.

    Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten. Buy a name brand (US) welder and if you want to upgrade later it will still have value if you want to sell it IMHO.

    Cab Rust Woes

    Bondo isn't going to do anything for the lost structural integrity and the more you hammer out the rust the more damage will appear.I would swap that cab and take a welding course.

    Oil pressure help

    I personally would run a 160 stat and rotella 15-40. (I can hear the groaning already). Yes oil will thin out the hotter it gets. That is the combo I use although my engine is not worn. The rule of thumb I heard was 10lb/1,000rpm. I think your engine has many miles left in it.

    Timing is way advanced

    I would just drive it and keep advancing it 2 degrees at a time untill it detonates and then back off 2 or 4 degrees . who knows what balancer or timing mark is on it. If it runs good now don't get too far away.

    I had to add resonators on my k5. That did the trick.Actually found some resonator tips in stainless that look good as well.

    Miller 140 auto set is a good (not cheapest) welder. If you are just going to do auto body repair and up to 1/8" you will never need another welder. Use the .23 wire.
