    You will need to attach the bell housing to the motor, line up the clutch with a alignment tool and it should stab right in. Dont forget the pilot bushing.

    That motor is probably worn out. If you are trying to keep it running, throw in a new high pressure oil pump and pick up in there and you will probably get some oil pressure. No telling how long it will last. It would be a good time to pull it out and rebuild it.

    82 454 cranks but no start. Not firing. Has proper voltage and distributor has all new internals.

    Maybe the ignition selector switch on top of the steering column. Corroded or melted plug in connector somewhere along the way. Or it isnt getting power during the cranking cycle, for some reason.

    It sounds like the power steering pump may need to be re sealed to the reservoir, or the steering gear box is leaking and either needs new seals or just remove and replace with one from the parts store.

    I would say, just don't do it. You are going to kill that truck using it as a welding truck. Find a one ton, modern truck and get to work.

    It might be that winch on the front that is weighing it down in the front. When you load up your gear/ cargo in the back you will be about right. Tough looking square, it looks ready to go to work.

    I think that what everybody is trying to tell you, is that if your motor is worn out enough to not have oil pressure, you should rebuild it. Anything else would just be a temporary solution. If it had enough trash go through it to wear out the oil pump rotors, the bearings are probably worn...

    Worn out oil pump/motor. If you want to keep driving it, put in a new high pressure oil pump and you can get more miles out of it, and it will show oil pressure on the gauge.

    Go with the one that says Syncro Mesh on the label. I think it is Pennzoil. It wont eat the brass synchros.

    Probably just an indicator of the overall condition of the vehicle. It all works together. Tune it up, clean up the carburetor, fix all the vacuum leaks, fix the exhaust, and go from there.

    Be careful, the Ford 8 lug wheels are different. They have a different size center hole. Either larger or smaller. I cant remember. I think it is larger.

    Either way they go through the radiator. With the auxiliary cooler one of them goes through the radiator, out to the aux. cooler then out to the transmission. If you have the aux. cooler, use it, if you dont, you might want to get one. It might help that TH350 live a little longer behind that 454.
