    You better drain out that gas from the tank. You are going through alot of unnecessary work to mess up your truck. Why not just fix it correctly? What is even the problem with the tank, or the switch?

    Dual tank fuel gauge makes no sense.

    I wish I could help you. How do you know that it only reads the left tank? You have to push the switch real hard to make it change. I have never had a Square with fuel injection, so Im not too sure about the pumps in the tank.

    Oil leak

    By the time that you chase down all of those leaks and fix them with the engine in the truck, you might just want to pull the engine and put all new gaskets in it with it on a stand and put it back in. It will be a great learning experience, at the very least. Just a thought.

    Ahhh, nobody said an LS swap was cheap. $300 sounds pretty good for all that they did. Anything involving aluminum is always more expensive. At least it wont vibrate.

    That is 'lots of tire. Go with some big number gears. Upper 4's or lower 5's. Get some good axles too for the Dana 44. Get all the good steering stuff as well, to keep that thing on the road.

    If money is no object, then throw the current 8 lug axles in the scrap pile and order a custom 9 inch or Dana 60 with the 6 lug axles and a custom built straight axle conversion, without a differential.     The o rings don't go in the groove, just around the stem. I think the crate engines are cut for the positive umbrella seals.

    Think about it like peddling a 10 speed bike. It takes lots of effort to start off in 10th gear and lots of effort (torque) to maintain speed under load. Your "motor" has to keep struggling the whole time to keep it going. I hope this helps.

    You will probably need an oil pan gasket as well, or at least some silicone. I think you will have to drop the pan down, at least a little bit to get the timing cover off and on.     Boxed Frame or not?

    You will probably have to strip it down to the bare frame and re-locate all the fuel lines, brake lines etc...Just a thought. Maybe a suspension modification will be more effective.
