Possible. I did a fluid and filter change this past Tuesday and it's shifting smooth as glas. It's almost like the throttle is sticking as it does it when I drive slow before I get up some speed. I've Kroiled the linkage and the cable. Truck did sit for over a year so carb may be gummed up
I found out the shifter rod is bent so it's hitting the frame, probably from the moron that sold me the bad engine initially so need to fix that as it wont go into the other gears easily. The trans is the original TH400

Eres something wrong with the shifter rod as it's hitting the frame so it wont go into the lower gears, so need to fix that. Original TH400 in the truck. I'm having carb issues so having it looked at on Saturday the 3rd, and get it back up to speed, so to speak.
My 84 Sierra 2500 has been acting weird just lately. I never thought about the trans modulator line. Mine has started running about 1500 - 2000 rpm's while driving down the street and I have to "punch" the gas pedal to get it to slow down. Also, no "umph" if I need to pass. Is this a timing issue?
Good Morning Everyone. I'm doing a fluid and filter flush on my 84 TH400, and when I pulled the filter off, this spacer came out. Does it go on the bolt for the filter as I have it? I haven't had any issues with shifting etc so I'm thinking it helps keep the filter level in the pan. The bolt is...
I'm looking for an original TH400 dust cover for the torque converter for my 84. I'd prefer one I can restore, that's metal. I can find aftermarket online but would like an original. I'd need it shipped to 86326, too please. Thanks
I finally got my truck back after a so called friend sold me a bad engine that blew up and I could save up enough money to get another one. I haven't had my truck for that long so now getting info on it
Good Morning everyone. I was wondering if there is a way to clean the wiper motor on my 84 Sierra? I live in Arizona, and although it's not near as cold as other states, my wiper motor is very slow when I first use it in the rain. I think I read somewhere that the old grease in the motor might...
I now have an aluminum intake and the port is right on top. I got my line installed and is back to shifting the way it should. It does need a fluid and filter change again so that's next.
Finally got my truck home on Sunday after it being gone for almost a year. First guy screwed me on the supposed Vortec 350 he installed. Found out it was only a TBI, which immediately detonated. So I had a good friend get me a crate 350 and install it for me. I still have some cosmetics to do on...
This pos blew up in 3 hours. My head gaskets blew and threw a rod. The guy screwed me out of $1700 because he was in a hurry to vacate the shop he sold. Unfortunately I can't get my money back. Live and learned the hard way when someone says they will take care of you
This is my new crate motor. 94 350, 4 bolt main. Getting a new flexplate tomorrow and hope to have my truck back on the road after almost a year and a half. First guy screwed me every which way but Sunday with a bad tbi 350
