    Intermittent High Idle and Occasional Hesitation on Acceleration

    Yeah, I was thinking maybe GM added that gear selector sensor with the GMT400's, as my '89 has a granny 4 speed, so I don't know! I know prior to '88, there is northing to that effect.

    Intermittent High Idle and Occasional Hesitation on Acceleration

    Did any of you guys with high idle issues change or check the coolant temp sensor? Common failures and they will feed the engine fuel if they're telling ecm that engine temp is cold. I've NEVER seen the shift indicater connected to anything electrical EVER. You can move the clip that holds the...

    Matt in Montana

    Welcome from your neighbor to the south! I may have to replace my injectors on my '87 also, as I've rebuild the tbi, did the high-rise injector plates, new 02, etc..., but my truck still runs rich & smells of raw fuel.

    MD8=700??

    The '93 Caddy has the exact code, wouldn't it be different if it was the "E"? I've read where GM started using the E in 93-94

    Shift Sputter

    350 TBI, TH400. So, when I stomp 'er down, she downshifts just fine but if I hold throttle WFO, it hits about 55 mph, and will slightly sputter & won't shift into 3rd unless I let of the throttle slightly. The only part I have not replaced on TB, is the tps. Could that be the issue, or the...

    MD8=700??

    I have a couple of questions I was wondering if someone can answer for me. I have a '92 G20 van, 350 TBI w/MD8 code. From what I've read, it should be a 4L60 or 80 by 1992, but were they still coded as an MD8, which identifies a 700 trans? Also, I'm looking at swapping in the engine and trans...

    Can anyone ID this suspension setup?

    I see now that the front diff could just be a single set-up, and the dual shocks were obtained by a special spacer/shock bolt.

    Can anyone ID this suspension setup?

    Are you sure that front end is original? My thoughts are that the front end is actually off a Blazer that had factory dual shocks, and PO added those secondary shock brackets on the frame.

    Tire Recommendations

    That's what my Tire Rama manager said, that they're discontinuing them & replacing them with the "Stronghold", which are very nice, but SPENDY! AI Overview Yes, Cooper Tire has discontinued the AT3 line, replacing it with updated models like the Discoverer Road+Trail AT and Discoverer...

    Do throttle body or carb spacers actually help?

    I'm running a Helix spacer, high-pressure fuel spring, pod spacer and I ground the ridges off the air inlet ports of the TB. I'm running a super-single Flowmaster w/3" pipe from cross-over back. All this has made a moderate difference, but nothing neck-snapping or any big increases in mpg. It...

    2 cycle gas mix ratio

    Been running 2 strokes for 50 years. I used to run 50:1 with Av Gas in my quadracer without issues. I have about 10 different 2 strokes now, and I've always run 50:1. They run leaner, and don't foul $8 plugs neither. If it makes you sleep better, run 40:1, but unless you keep the little Honda...

    1987 V10 with carb and dual tanks will not stay running

    The '87 TBI tank switches have to stay switched to the tank you're running off of. It cannot be the rocker-type that stays centered when not being touched. I learned this on my '87 V20 when I sorted all the BS wiring the clown had done to my truck before I got ahold of it. I also got my auxilary...
