hook style wiper arms
I think we are running a set of Ford truck wiper arms on ours to get the J-hook. I will have to confirm with the boy though as he is the one that found the hack online. -

Sounds like a traditional build sequence. Engine, exhaust, transmission, rear end, brakes. This is the video short that sold him on the cam selection. There is a whole build video of the car in the short somewhere. He just confirmed that Dart is who made the Summit Vortec heads he purchased.- Catbox

Junior has the aftermarket Vortec's from Summit. From his research, the cam and valvetrain should work together. I will however show him this information so he has it in his pocket when he starts building. He will be adding the 1.6 rockers to the intake valve, as the exhaust should be fine. But...- Catbox

The exhaust kits are under $200 shipped to you. I just looked this up right now and is the kit we used on my brothers truck. The welder we bought was not the super duper cheap one, but the one that is around $550 from Harbor Freight. So for around $800 with hangers, you can do it all... And...- Catbox

Meh. Run 3 inch. It will be fine. You won't loose enough to care about. You are not designing it to pull the n-th amount of power. If you can, buy a universal dual exhaust kit from Ebay. You can do it yourself and have the satisfaction afterwards of knowing you did it. We do it to all the cars...- Catbox

6 x 9 speaker mounting in door
If you thought it was good enough, run them there. Personally, they would provide far better performance in the front of the lower door. At least then they would be firing right into your feet instead of the seat hump.- Catbox

Engine woes
On a TBI I would start with the fuel system. Does the pump run when you key it on? If the filter has not been changed recently, change it. Do the injectors fire? If not, it could be the ignition module in the distributor. My 1995 has presented me with all of these problems at one time or another.- Catbox
