    GMSquarebody shirts idea...

The problem I have with cotton poly blends is in Texas they're too uncomfortable most of the year. I'll sweat through it too quickly.... In winter it's okay, to be warm, not the rest of the year. If you're used to a pocket on a shirt, you understand the utility of them. And I've never smoked...

    GMSquarebody shirts idea...

I personally like pocket T shirts since I have a place to put small parts or fasteners (besides pants pockets which have enough other stuff in them). My work shirts are guyaberas, the four pockets are great for holding the timers for breaks, small utensils and any snacks I might get.

    GMSquarebody shirts idea...

Yeah.... maybe too many of us qualify as "round is a shape " for that....now if some of y'all have the figure/guns/muscular build/buffness for a fitted T...rock it!

    GMSquarebody shirts idea...

This, and a round eye version for the 73-80 folks. Agreed on the pocket, smaller logo on the front and big logo on the back, and DEFINITELY 100% cotton.

    Newbie from GA

True...but OP's truck is a long bed so if he wants to convert it to stepside, he'll have to get the 8' steppy bed.

    Reinforced hood

The 81-91 hood is a bit lighter than the 73-80 one though....

    84 GMC for my daughter

Welcome from Houston, very nice truck. Your daughter sounds like me at that age....in my case it was a first generation Monte Carlo. Never could get it to run right, but that thankfully didn't sour me on Chevys or wrenching.

    G series camper van forums

What part of Washington are you in? I think my relatives are moving to Blaine or Bellingham, somewhere in the NW corner. I know the summers are nicer than Texas, what about the winters?

What have you done to your square lately??

Seat fits in there nice! Those are comfy seats, I enjoy the one my truck came with.

    Reinforced hood

I'm gonna go ahead and put this out there.... Properly lubricating the hood hinges and latches will go a LONG WAY towards preventing hood bending. Dad would spray those parts with white lithium grease periodically. Same with the door hinges/latches. We never had a hood bend on our squares(and we...

    700r4 Overdrive

Same here, also do that with the 4L60E in my current Burb. The one ton has a 4L80E so no worries there; truck only knows we're towing something when we slow down and stop. I'm using U Haul rental trailers with single axle, no brakes on those.

I saw a Datsun mini truck yesterday with a Toyota engine in it... that's their equivalent of Chevy vs. Phord.

History related, when did people start lifting Chevy trucks?

I was in high school in the early 80s, and the group of gearheads was small at that school. One of my friends had a '74 K5 Blazer in the Olive Green metallic and white top, think the interior was the green vinyl. It had a little bit of lift and bigger tires. One of the guys had a late 70s F250...

Ha ha that's the 84 Burb the last few months we had it. Dad always drove it, we had the cluster out, so we gassed up once a week.

If the rear "glass" is leaking.... could have just been the third brake light gasket has shrunk and is allowing moisture to get in. Mine is doing that, gotta get a new gasket for it. That could have also allowed the mounting surfaces to rust and leak, leading to the "back glass leaks, put a...
