    Thanks for the 4x4 shifter pics! This helps a lot. Ok now I see. The shifter in the ebay pic on the aluminum trans is not exactly the same as mine. I've got a zerk in the top bolt. total of 3 bolts holding it on. My shift fingers go are passenger side whereas your shift fingers are drivers...

    4wd trans and 2wd shifter. The angle of the shifter dangle is on the inside of the mount so it sticks out drivers side quite far for the shift rods to line up. Just for fun I reversed the shifter on the nv4500 and it makes it almost reachable!

    Hi, Yes I have two different Np833s, both cast iron, one 2wd 27 spline and the other 4wd 32 spline. I sold the NP205 and went drivers side drop (to match my dana 44 axle from a van). I did not notch the housing. I have a NP241 IFS tcase now 32 spline input. The van originally had a 833...

    Hi any update on this? I've changing from NP833 2wd to NP833 4wd, but don't have the different shifter. Any success making a mounting plate? Oh that's my gold NP833 + 205 case earlier in the pics :)
