1979 250 ci I6 heat studs - information requested - head studs or bolts?
Using new head bolts was to solve the problem of head bolts lengthening under long term use or mighty strong short term abuse. I've done both, this engine has only had the 1st type of stated abuse, so maybe OK to reuse? Need to find one or a dozen. Chevy salvage yards to be added to the...- trotline

1979 250 ci I6 heat studs - information requested - head studs or bolts?
I just need a work around on the busted head bolt. If I could replace it with a correctly threaded stud, I could retorque all and get my pickup on the road.- trotline

from the site questions: you are correct these head bolts will not fit your engine , integral intake manifold heads take different bolts and we do not have them at this time Integral intake (head and intake manifold as one) is what I have, so...close, but no cigar.- trotline

one head bolt is broken; head bolts re useable? Always was taught to always replace. Open to trying to reuse. I can compare the new against the current for lengthening.- trotline
