Replace the filter stone in the carburetor inlet and see if that doesn't clear it up.

    Chevy Lean

Sounds like the driver side springs are sagging, after 30 years I bet they're tired. There was a family in my neighborhood growing up that were all LARGE folks, all their cars sagged to the left. The mom drove a school bus and even the bus eventually sagged to the drivers side.

    Clocking steering wheel

The steering wheel can definitely be put back in misaligned, the splined shaft rotates independantly but if the wheels were straight when you pulled the steering wheel didn't get moved until you reinstalled it and you put it back in straight you should be good but if the wheels were crooked and...

My truck came with a factory overhead console so hiding the lead should be no issue. I added the xm the other day using the supplied magnetic antenna stuck bto my cowl for now. Getting ready to respray the roof and hood soon/ I'll wait untill I'm ready to paint before I notch the roof so I...

Check the ground wires between the battery and the chassis and engine to chassis too. Especially the small wire from the negative cable to the body

    Gen V big block valvetrain

Then the cam listed in the article won't work for you, gen 5 upgrades are pretty limited by the stock configuration. This build got pretty good results but they did a full rebuild and bumped up compresion to do it. http://www.cpgnation.com/power-for-peanuts-gen-v-big-block-power/ This site...

    Gen V big block valvetrain

I think the rotating assemblies about the same on the base engines so you'll still be limited on how much lift to run I think the biggest difference you'll have is which lifters to run. Gen 6 is factory roller but don't gen 5's still need retro-fit rollers?

    Gen V big block valvetrain

This series from Super Chevy deals with a L29, I didn't link the earlier one where the dumped the TBI for a carb because this is the one which deals with a cam swap but if you search for Super Chevy Big Hero BBC you can read the rest. All in all a pretty good read...

Mixing bowl air cleaner transition piece for TBI

That Engine Masters episode was great but I think the salad bowl was actually 2nd place. It was just a salad bowl with an open element lid on top. 1st place iirc was a 4 or 5 inch open element air cleaner with an open element lid. Their point was that your engine really wants to pull air down...
