    Steering stabilizer K30 install

I appreciate it. The bolt on the back side has all the threads engaged so I'm not to concerned but just wanted to see if I should overtorque it to pull the taper fit in further and then retorque or if that's how it's designed

    Steering stabilizer K30 install

I installed this Skyjacker steering stabilizer and torqued to the specified 65 ft-lbs, however since it is a tapered fit, I was unsure if it should sit flush against the drag link. I can't recall if the old one did and the instructions are unclear. Any advice on if this is fine?

    Leaf Spring/Axle/Frame

So I got a D60, my frame mounts ready, and brand new front leaf springs for the front of my 77 K30. What should be the order of installation? Should I attach the leafs to the axle and torque u bolts then lift up to frame? Or should I attach leafs to frame and then lift up axle? Does it not...

    Crack/Knick in 350 Cylinder Wall

I’m sorry, this doesn’t make a lick of sense to me. If I put a sleeve of let’s say 3/32” or .09375”. The bore is now 4.030 - .09375” = 3.93625” in that cylinder while the rest are still 4.030”. Are you saying bore .060” from there? So 3.93625+.06 = 3.99625”? Or bore all 8 cylinders to 4.060”...

    Crack/Knick in 350 Cylinder Wall

Do I have to sleeve all 8 or just the one that’s cracked? It’s bored .30 over right now so would a machine shop bore it over the thickness of the sleeve so that the .030 pistons will fit or does it get sleeved back down to stock of 4.00” bore?

    Crack/Knick in 350 Cylinder Wall

This block sat uncovered last winter and was full of water/antifreeze. I’ve torn it down and noticed this crack or knick in the cylinder wall. What do you guys think? It appears to be a Knick to me because one side is higher than the other. A crack would tend to be somewhat flush with a tiny...

Thanks to both of you, I have no experience with this (obviously) so I'll see if I have any luck using different terminology.

1977 K30 CREW CAB Frame Crossmember Identification

Hello, I've been struggling to find the technical name for this cross member and can't find it for purchase anywhere. I'll post pics but it is the cross member that is right behind the transfer box, bolts in the seat belts, cab mounts, and is perpendicular to the A pillars. Reminder: this is a...

    Introduction from Indiana

Hello, I just would like to introduce myself. I bought a 77 K30 Crew Cab awhile back and am just now getting started on restoring it. I don't know my exact goals with this truck yet, just want it to look good and run well. I have ZERO experience with this and very little with vehicles in...
