    alright, well thanks everyone for all the helpful input, i found out it is in fact the flex plate, i have a date to take it back to my mechanic since i dont have time to do anything myself at the moment.

    i had piston slap that's why there was adjustment, ill try to get a video later on today and post it.

    ok ill have to check the ujoints tomorrow. theres nothing no rock in the hub caps, last thing that was done to it was mechanic adjusted rockers, how could it be detonation if i dont hear the noise in neutral or park while reving the motor.

    i have a 81 k10 4x4 when i leave from a stop sign or a sop light i hear a rattle like noise until i hit about 5mph or so, it doesnt make the noise when im in neutral or park while reving up the truck. any thoughts on what it could be?

    no oil or metal from what i can tell, when rpms go up the noise seems to simmer down a bit, ive got valve covers pulled now. just trying to figure out if i need to redo all the rockers and go from there or just send it to the shop. to be honest it sounds like it could be bottom end, someone...

    Well I know I should be getting more than 5 miles out of that jug, defiantly since I'm just putting around the property.

    Yea I know it's just till I get a fuel cell. I don't take it off the property rite now. Later on to day I'm going to check the compression. Also my fuel line keeps alot of pressure in it between the carb and the pump

    The fuel pump does have the 3rd nipple my old line might be crimped some where so I'll just undo it and see if any fuel comes back.

    Well no not really on the return pump. My fuel pump is on the block. But my fuel line is ran directly from a 5 gallon gas tank straight to the carb. And I'm running a 700cfm quadrajet and a rebuild on the carb is probably needed.
