Replaced the 40 year old trash bag + decaying insulation mess on the rear interior panels with a self-adhesive, closed cell foam. And yes, I reinstalled the scraps of cut up plastic bumper which I use as clamps to keep the rear 4”x10” speakers firmly in place against the cardboard panel… It...- SierraClassique

That’s a great idea- thank you. Not sure I trust how neat I can make the edges of that since I can’t hide it with trim so I may become a repeat customer with the upholsterer I found. I need to do something before the Texas summer kicks in, so I will report back sometime soon!- SierraClassique

While painting my cab ceiling trim pieces, I applied two layers of 80 mil Kilmat sound deadener and a 10mm closed cell foam insulation to the ceiling- tapering off both materials in thickness towards the sides in order for the trim to fit back up. Nice! This front hitch receiver ($238) went on my ‘84 Jimmy pretty easily. I have 4wd so didn’t need a front hitch to put a boat in the lake or anything, but I wanted to put it on nonetheless. It’s a hitch mounted bumper step from Harbor Freight - it’s great to get into the engine bay of a lifted rig! Only con is having to reverse with a tow rope to get it out haha, but can’t really complain for $28. https://hftools.com/app58259- SierraClassique

i was going to add some auxiliary LED lights to come on when i go into reserve but was worried they would be too bright for other drivers in parking lots etc., so i added some auxiliary lights that i turn on with a switch. i don’t use them too often but a bonus is having the option to use them...- SierraClassique
