Glove box lock
Get a lock pick set. I picked one up and with a little practice was able to open a locking gas cap for a project I was working on. It also came in handy when I threw out some "extra" keys that weren't as "extra" as I had thought. -

Thanks! No, that's a temporary "4 Low" switch for use while I figure out how to put a contact switch on my cable shifter. -

I have 500 miles on my swap, working the kinks out. Picked up a free canopy to refurbish, installed a few interior mods including the stereo, floor shifter, cupholders & ashtray switch panel. It's coming along nicely! -

Looks good! I'm looking into buckets. Was tossing around ideas of either Suburbans or early 90's 4-Runner. -
Canopy
Picked up this canopy for free this past weekend. Looks like I have paint & window seals in my future! It's a Guidon Hombre. I can't find any info on it online, so I guess it wasn't very popular?- shep151

Wiring Harness Replacement and LQ4/4L80E/NP241C Swap Integration
The truck is finally in service! Still working some kinks out. Today I finished the install of the Winters Sidewinder. It looks great next to the JB Fab cable transfer case shifter. It'll all look much better when I get to revamping the interior!- shep151

Update: Yeah, I'm not good at posting updates. Plan changes: Using the donor's power distribution center proved itself totally not worth the trouble, so that was abandoned. I did install a 6 relay/10 fuse distribution block on the driver's side wheel well. The donor's wiring was pretty crispy...- shep151

LQ4 Swap, starter wire routing question
Not sure whether this belongs here or in the "electrical" section... I'm finalizing the wire harness installation on the LQ4/4L80E swap into my 78 K10. Unfortunately, I don't recall how the keyed starter wire and crank position sensor wire are routed. They originate from the throttle body...- shep151

AC temp control wire
I have my control panel out for cleaning/repair and discovered this wire is broken off on mine. Looking at the factory wiring drawings, I can't find it anywhere. The cigarette lighter appears to be its own wire, straight from the fuse block, and should be orange and black, not orange. The AC is... -
