That's the problem..... I removed the 4 bolts holding the column to the bracket, but, as I could not move the column2", the upper nuts on the column will not align with the lower holes in the bracket. As the silver slugs are slotted in the bracket, I can move them up an inch and re-attach, but I...

I was just curious how well it sat atop of the humps for the tanks....

And now, something (not so) completely different....

Hard line replaced with rubber fuel line from Fitech reservoir to the tank selector valve. NO leak !!

Can the calibration of the speedo in an electronic dash be programmed??

That process netted me about 1", all at the coupler to lower shaft joint. I was unable to make the lower shaft assy telescope any. I think I will need to remove the lower shaft in order to apply more direct pressure. I'm pretty sure that once I shorten that shaft length, the column will move...

Why The 180's in Fuel and Return Lines

Both the fuel and return lines make a sharp 108 degree bend at the front of the frame. Is there a purpose for those?? Or just a routing necessity due to the position of the fuel pump connections ?

My C10 has a floor shifter, so no linkage connected to the column. I'm wondering if I van take out the 4 bolts holding the column to the under dash bracket, and collapse it the 2" mol so that the lower set of bracket holes will line up with the upper set of column nuts....The column would only...

And now, something (not so) completely different....

Now that I have replaced the fuel hard line to the pump, I have ANOTHER leak, in the RETURN line...... And, of course, it is right at or under the motor mount frame plate........... GRRRRRRRRRRRR This one is gonna get a rubber hose replacement...... I swear, this thing is wearing me down.........

I ordered a 2nd. gen Camaro wheel. I'll see how that goes. If not enough space I will pursue collapsing the column an inch or 2......

Now......... It has been probably 4 years since I replaced the firewall pad inside the cab. Due to the passage of time and the partaking of much fermented and distilled libations, I cannot remember if the flange/boot that seals the column to the firewall is secured to the column or not... When...

I wish it was that simple.. IIRC the column has nuts welded on it to which the bracket is bolted. I can have 2 tabs machined to replace those silver inserts in the bracket to reposition it further inward. I will have to investigate possible interference of switches and wires with pedals and...

I could probably fab an adapter bracket that would bolt to the dash, then have the column bracket bolt to it in the relocated position. It would need to have an offset in it in order to have the bracket bolt up at the same height as original...... It is interesting to note that the inserts thru...
