    Good Lord, It's a couple of Fords (1964 Ford 2000 & 1949 8N)

Looks like you’re building a brand new tractor

Correct. Original equipment is a generator but mine is converted to alternator. Electricity is only needed to recharge the battery after starting

The 135 diesel is the best tractor ever made. If you have use for a tractor hang on to it. If you don’t you will have no problem selling it

The 135 is a Perkins AD3.162 diesel Still got the sheet metal. Tank was painted when I replaced the clutch in 2004. Probably gonna sell it once I shake down the 165 and am comfortable I have ironed any issues

    Ford 4000 hydraulic leak

Lift cover came off, flow control valve removed, and both the upper and lower tubes replaced. All reassembled. Leak repaired.

You can improve your tractor’s traction by filling the rear tires with a water/antifreeze solution

For parts diagrams and OEM parts numbers, and parts go to Messick’s.com. I use the exploded diagrams and parts numbers a lot for my 1968 Ford 4000 diesel

While you are at it you might want to change the clutch.

    Ford 4000 hydraulic leak

I have done that but that doesn’t mean it’s not sticking. Today it started leaking from the top side where it goes into the flow control valve and stopped coming from the lower side. Looks like the lift cover is going to come off, flow control valve coming out and I am going to replace the tube

Try messick’s for parts diagrams and OEM part numbers. They also have new old stock, but they are the most expensive place in the country to buy from.
