Ended up adding a 1/4” spacer ring and was just enough to clear.

    Extended wheel studs

I’m looking for at least 1/2” longer thread (7/16-20) on the front studs of my 1978 k15. Has anyone had any luck tracking these down online? Thanks.

That’s probably what I’m going with since I don’t need much. Looks like the thread length on the front axle studs is only .93”. Do you know who makes the extended length studs? I can’t seem to find any online.

new wheels just touch the tie rod end. Otherwise clears the fenders just fine. Any recommendations on spacers?

    LED conversion

The rear LEDs only work correctly when the incadescents are in the front. I did not change over the hazard flasher to led but it acts the same way as the turn signal. Maybe I should swap that out.

    LED conversion

Doing an LED conversion on my 1978 GMC k15. Have all the bulbs swapped out with the LED ground flasher. Cut the blue wire on front side markers and grounded so they don’t flash with turn signals. The only problem I’m. Running in to is if I dont run an incandescent bulb in the front turn...

I ended up ordering 16x10’s -25. The specs say they have a 4.50” backspacing with 315/75 16’s. Hope they fit.

Hoping to go with 10” wide wheels just to fill it out a bit. Thinking maybe 315/75 16’s. Having a hard time finding mags in 16” x 10”. Looks like most companies have discontinued making the old slots. I added a 1.5” spacer to the rear to line the rear with the front today. Looks pretty good...

Yes that pic was pretty bad. I’m leaning towards 16” x 10” on around 315/75r 16’s. That would add 2.4” of width, fill it out a bit.

    Tire/wheel recommendations

1978 GMC K15 just received a 4” rough county lift and it’s time for tires and wheels. Stock suspension except for the 4” sitting on 255/85 R16’s, wheels are 16x7. I like to hear what your recommendations are to replace the pizza cutters without rubbing. Seems like most run at least a 4”...
