    Does lowering effect load carrying ability?

    My truck also has a "Hidden" 5th Wheel Hitch" there is a crank hidden in the wheelwell to raise it up... Will this effect the installation of the Beltech lowering kit? I planned on air bags if I do the camper but thanks for the reminder.... Steve

    Im in the process of lowering my 1988 GMC (its the square cab body style) using a 3/4 Beltech kit. I am also thinking about buying a slide in self contained camper... Will lowering effect my ability to carry the camper, it will be a 10-12 foot slide in type... Thanks, Steve
