well ol' man winter has arrived and the 87 is in the carport for the winter . Spent the last couple days helping a new neighbor get a metal carport put up over his RV while he waits on his contractors to get his new building up. well since the carport got done, then onto the garden rebuild,lots of do nothing days due to the heat and then the john deere riding mower of 20 years decided to spring a oil leak!!! So pulled the engine and put new gaskets and seals in it even got a new muffler to quiet it up!! hopefully good...- Ontheboulder

brake vaccume booster
i have the jb7 code, Pictures show a all metal master cylinder but mine has a metal and plastic one, previous owner may have screwed up, not sure- Ontheboulder

Different brake codes?
it could be the threads if you replaced the bolt. check out the specs between jb1 and jb3 systems might be a difference in brake diameter which you can measure to find out. I had a wheel cylinder that had the wrong bleeder and the threads would not tighten up. todays junk parts!- Ontheboulder

yes. that stud should register 13 to 13.5 volts, if not your alternator is starting to fail- Ontheboulder
