Well that sucks
Looks like someone already did an R134a conversion on it by the way there's adapters on both the high and low pressure port. R12 used screw on fittings instead of the quick release ones that R134a uses. -

Sadly this is the other side of the planet, so it's not much use for me to order them as shipping and import duties would basically negate all savings. Turn signals don't work when headlights are on
You could try and put a bridge rectifier in the feed of the LEDs, this way polarity should stay the same for the LEDs irrespective of whether the headlights are on or not.- NLD79K10

@bucket it's pretty much the same over here: if it's on the vehicle it must be functional unless clearly for show purposes only and not not to be used on public roads, in which case it must be covered or have the bulbs removed. Behind seat
Previous owner left me two cheap plastic trough planters as tool boxes behind the bench seat of my '79 K10, I left them in for now but coming winter I intend to replace them with an upholstered custom built MDF tool box when I get new vinyl on the seat. -

Looking for support in ordering right parts from US
I normally order a lot of stuff through Rockauto and Summit Racing for my K10 in the Netherlands, shipping is quick and not too expensive. I tend to prepay for customs fees as well so I get it quicker. For the noisy diff, my preferred option would be to just go for a differential rebuild kit...- NLD79K10

Restoring A/C
Agreed, the Sanden style compressors are a lot less likely to self-destruct than the A6 and R4 ones GM originally installed in these trucks, even brand new ones don't seem to be all that reliable in the long run. IIRC LMC do a Sanden style compressor with the correct fittings for the original hoses. -

Looks like you basically have nothing except for the evaporator and the receiver/dryer left in there and maybe the pressure switch on the receiver, but that is not visible from this angle. It's difficult to tell from the picture but it also looks like the wiring for the compressor isn't there... -

I feel your pain, my K10 is way off on the speedo due to it being on 33's. If I drive through my home village with its 20mph speed limit, I barely see the needle move off the peg. I know that these gauges weren't all that accurate to begin with, but 40mph on the gauge when I am doing 50 is a bit...- NLD79K10
