Fuel in intake but not getting into cylinders

Whoa I didn't mean to start anything here haha. After talking to another older fella who is very knowledgeable with these engines he suggested that the timing was off. He thinks the reason I am not seeing gas on the plugs is that it is being sucked out through the exhaust valve before it can...

Fuel in intake but not getting into cylinders

Mechanical pump, plenty of fuel spraying out when I unhook the lines at the carb. The carb bowl was full above the sight glass when I first installed it out of the box but I adjusted the floats so that the fuel level was good at the bottom of the sight glass. If I take fuel from a bottle and...

Fuel in intake but not getting into cylinders

Distributor turns fine when cranking and I have good spark. The float level is set correctly in the carb, fuel level is right at the bottom of the sight glass. My issue seems to be a lack of fuel as the plugs (which are brand new) are dry when I pull them.

Fuel in intake but not getting into cylinders

Here's a weird one for you guys. Just finished putting in a used 355 SBC in my C10 last fall just before the snow started to fly. Made a few trips around the block in it and it ran ok but needed some adjustments that I thought I would sort out this summer. Fast forward to last month and I...

    No Spark 86 C10

I figured it out after, the plugin coming out of the harness that connects to the Battery terminal on the distributor was shorted inside the plugin itself. It still read 12V when checked with a meter but wasn't making good contact with the distributor terminal.

    No Spark 86 C10

Yeah I have 12 Volts at the distributor, even tried running it with a jumper wire straight from positive on the battery to the battery terminal on the distributor and that didn't make a difference. I have tried installing a different distributor and re-timing the motor and that distributor will...

    No Spark 86 C10

Yes, I marked the location of the MSD distributor before removing it but I also ensured the engine was at TDC on cylinder #1 by removing the valve cover, spark plug, and lining up the mark on the balancer with the timing tab so should be no issues with timing (should be at least close enough to...

    No Spark 86 C10

Hi, I am having a little trouble trying to get my 86 C10 up and running. I just completed an engine swap to a 355 SBC and actually had the truck up and running enough to make a few trips around the block. Went to start it the other day and no dice. I pulled the plugs and have no spark. I...
