Wiring harness

Im in need of help with a new wiring kit...my 80 k10 needs it all new..would i put in the differnt motor before i wire it or after.

Hello im new to this

Im from south dakota and i have 1980 chevy k10 custom deluxe 4x4. This is my first square body ive owned..i am goin build it into a mud truck. So i might need a little bit of advice for this truck.it has a inline 6 in it but i have 83 1 ton that might have 454 in it.will it work?
