    Could banging on a harmonic balancer cause the crankshaft to start rubbing on the flywheel cover? I hired a guy to help work on the truck. Asked him to NOT bang it on. When I returned with the (free) balancer installation tool, he said it was "all set." When we fired up the truck, squeaking...

    The carpet was already updated (10 years ago) but I used a Ryobi brush kit (home depot) on a cordless drill and it was SO worth it. Looked new, easy, wife did it.

    Fuel door spring?

    Any fuel door spring suggestions? The fuel door on my 84 runs out of spring tension an inch before it reaches the truck. I know that's not a big deal but it will haunt me. I've tried springs from LMC and Ebay. Same thing. I've tried flattening them in a vice. Bending them different ways...

    That's between the door and the mirror assembly. I found lots of those. The post of the mirror within the assembly. Nothing.

    I got the seat for $1000 bucks off FB. Ouch, but it looks good. (Just for reference) Oddly, the seat and dash seem to be the expensive things? I went with a $30 dash pad lol.

    Mirror post gasket?

    My (aftermarket) mirrors are fine but kept slipping back from the wind. When I slid the mirror out, the gasket broke into pieces. (pic attached) I can't find a new one. Anyone else have this happen? I'm not buying new mirrors over a $2 gasket.

    I just added 4 decent speakers. Already had a retro radio, no blue teeth, so I added 3.5mm cables to the radio. Dope seat. $30 dash pad. New pedal pads, horn cover, small stuff. Enough to keep it cheap but still look good. Mostly LMC but the prices vary quite a bit.

    New front bumper and brackets

    I got a rear LMC bumper and the brackets they suggested. The factory brackets are beefy and much sturdier. I have the bumper mounted now as a decoration. I plan to restore the original oem brackets and drill out the LMC bumper to fit.
