Brakes work great thanks to you. I had to re locate where the rod connected to the pedal higher up (like you suggested).

    Motor mount questions

Hello, doing a sb to bb swap on a 78 Chevy c10 and I see that there’s 2 sets of holes that the motor mounts can mount to. Ones about an inch or so lower than the other. My question is if the lower holes are used for big blocks since they sit higher and the other is sb? Or is it the same for...

    Squishy brakes

Ok makes sense. Yeah I was just saying it’s the same when the car is moving and not moving. Wasn’t really referring to the motor running. Just mentioned the brake booster and low vacuum because I thought that would be helpful in some way. Guess it wasn’t

    Squishy brakes

i haven’t done anything with the rod positioning. I’m just a little confused. Is the geometry different because it takes more force to push non boosted brakes? Thus meaning it’s better to position the rod closer to the pivot point for more torque? The main problem I’m having is that it takes...

    Squishy brakes

no power brakes when I started. The kit came with an adjustable pedal rod and it’s pulled out enough to where it doesn’t just hit the floor.

    Squishy brakes

I’m sorry man I think we’re on the wrong page. It’s hard to understand the context of messages and meaning behind them. Think it would have made more sense face to face. I told you that it’s equally as soft stationary and running. I could have been more direct but I was trying to say there’s no...

    Squishy brakes

If I could get a good pedal parked I wouldn’t be here man. Sorry about the confusion with part numbers didn’t mean for that to be confusing. I guess I found my answer though. Thank you for your help.

just ordered a new master thanks for figuring that out for me. Bought the master cyl a long time ago probably before I thought about doing a disc brake swap.

oh ok, never heard of that. I need a new valve anyways since converting to full disk but I’ll order one along with that. Thank you for the tip!

I’ve never heard of a centering tool. The valve is bolted to the chassis, so I’m not sure how that would work. I don’t think the loss of vacuum is causing the problem but I was looking into a vacuum reservoirs. I guess they store vacuum when running higher rpm for idle speeds if you need to brake.

No I can’t get a good pedal parked. Thinking good meaning a normal stiffness pedal. I forgot to mention I have a brake booster as well, but feel like that wouldn’t be the problem. Tried to match the master cylinder online and came up with: 7387BB-MC

running a big cam so the pedal is pretty much equally as soft stationary and running. Motor just can’t pull vacuum for the master. I don’t know what the model master calendar is. I should probably change the valve then thank you for letting me know. I need to pump the brake to get decent ish...
