I’m sorry guys I know it’s probably on here somewhere I tried looking. I just did an engine swap on my 87 R10 and I went to a carb instead of TBI. I just need to know the color of the oil pressure sender wire for the gauge so I can jump it from the fuse block. The original engine I pulled out...
I recently bought a 1987 R10 and it’s a pretty nice original truck, the fuel gauge works but it’s just out of range. When I fill it up the gauge reads at about 3 o’clock and the when the tank is dry it reads 1/4 full. I’m guessing probably a ground issue or possibly the gauge itself?
it only bubbles when its hot after driving, it doesn't do it if its cool outside im talkin on a hot day. and I do actually have one of those spacers your talkin about. but if I did run this set up id plug up the return fitting on the pump.
I have an edelbrock AVS2 and it has 2 fuel inlets on either side, one side is plugged so it is just the one for now but I have a clear fuel filter and after driving on hot days I can see the fuel boiling in it. Now there is no vapor lock and it does not seem to interrupt drivability too much...
Any of yall know what the two wires in my hand do? it is for the TCC lockup. the green and blue are hooked up right but I ditched all of the emissions stuff and forgot what they hook up too. I had another vacuum switch and that worked fine for a month until the whole transmission didn't wanna...
Well now I’m not disagreeing with you, but I didn’t know if the dimensions were the same so I didn’t wanna have to get another driveshaft, crossmember, shift linkage and whatever else, I just went for what I knew would be cheap and bolt right in
I don’t know what it is with me and transmissions but we just can’t get along. I had my original 700r4 professionally rebuilt about a month ago and last night I got on it nothing to crazy and it wouldn’t shift... pulled over checked TV cable and it was fine everything seemed ok, got it home left...
I also was curious about cooling, I have the water cooled trans cooler in the radiator but I’m wondering if an external air cooler would be better since the one in the radiator only cools the transmission fluid as cool as the coolant gets
Yeah I got a Edelbrock AVS2 and an Edelbrock performer intake but I’m using the original throttle cable bracket and TV cable that came with the truck. I have a Edelbrock throttle cable bracket but the hardline going from the back of the carb to the brake booster is in the way so I’m gonna get a...
I bought the transmission off eBay from a company called ATracing world the other 700r4 is original to the truck the rebuilt one just didn’t come with a lockup it says it’s built for mild street/strip use but the carb/TV cable geometry is is not a straight line it’s about half in inch off
I have a rebuilt 700r4 and it’s “hunting” between 3rd and 4th gear. I’ve been reading up on it trying to figure out what could fix it and can’t seem to find a definite answer, I see that it’s apparently a common problem on F body Camaros. It’s not that big a deal it’s just annoying. It does not...
