I have a stock 5.7l 350 with a turbo 400 transmission. I don’t know what my rear gear is but the truck is lacking hard acceleration. Engine revs up and it takes a long time to build any real speed.
Is this a transmission gear issue or could it be a rear gear issue?
Clearly I am very new to...
Looking at replacing trans cooler lines as they hang low and rub on steering components.

So I ordered a new circuit board off ebay installed it all the tach came to life. problem solved.
Here is a pic of all the factory gauges up and running. Took along time to chase everything down but it’s finally back to normal.

Might be easier to swap out for a new carb?
Ports were capped prior to photo and capped again after. Runs and drives fine but needs a little throttle on cold starts to stay running.
I looked into that position but the ports are drastically different sizes. There is no port on the top that will fit the hose size the choke needs. Also I noticed a vacuum pot on the back of the carb that is wide open.

I am not very technically skilled when it comes to engines and there systems but I see “computer “ a lot in there. With my 78 the closest thing to a computer is the vacuum system.
