    Hyrdaulic Slave Cylinder

Yesterday was the coldest its been this year so far. I fired up my truck and noticed I had no clutch.....I check under the truck and see the slave was leaking fluid from the boot. Is it common for the temp change to cause leaks in hydraulic systems? Should I replace the slave and call it...

    SBC 400 in a K5

Well I went with dual exhaust, h-pipe, with flowmaster 44's......If I could do it again I would go with Magnaflow. I was aiming at the lowest sounding exhaust FYI The h-pipe really did give me a bit more hp....I noticed it right after it was installed. So not sure if you would go this...

    SBC 400 in a K5

I dont wanna give you bad advice so please correct me if I'm wrong. Straight pipes is gonna be loud....way loud. I would go with magnaflow mufflers and a x-pipe. I've heard that the x-pipe will give the most power. Just my 2 cents

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

wow I have no idea either. The pump does have a return line connected. I'll try pinching that and see what happens. So lately its been running better. Seems like it bogs a little bit when changing gears at a low idle. Also the exhaust continues to smell alot like gas. Also I followed your...

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

Ok so first thing I did today was hooked up the fuel pressure gauge between the pump and the carb.....Fired up the truck and gauge started pulsating. Did some research and read that this happens with mechanical pumps....... This is what it looks like So looks to me like it bounces from...

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

Alright cool. One other thing, I noticed last night that I could smell gas from the exhaust...lots of it. I'm thinking my fuel to air ratio is way off. Any advice on adjusting that? Am I correct in saying that the only way to run leaner in an edelbrock is changing jets to match the calibration...

Fuel filler keeps backing up... Ideas?

Happens to me too. Just back the pump a little, but you have to listen for the tank to fill. If you leave the pump running solo, it till disengage too late and splash some gas on your fender.

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

Thanks for confirming, I wasn't sure if that filter was good quality or not. So I already see some debree in the filter. Thats saying its only been about 2 weeks that I've installed it and I haven't even put more than 200 miles on the truck since. I'll keep an eye on it though. Ill be adding an...

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

Yeah I was thinking that. I was even thinking of dropping the tank and seeing what it looks like inside. This truck was parked for a long while before I got it so the tank may be a disaster. Any advice on inspecting the tank?

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

Well I had time yesterday afternoon, so I took the carb apart and drenched the whole thing in carb cleaner. I noticed one of the float "needle" was sticking a bit......could this be my problem? I cleaned it the best I could so lets see. I put it back together and fired her up. Ran smooth, took...

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

Alright I'll set the timing to 12 degrees, what RPM should my idle be at? I'll see if I can hook up a tach this weekend. It goes straight to the distributor right?

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

Well thats the thing I'm not sure. When in the mountains, seemed like the only thing that kept the truck running was stepping on the gas...... I'm guessing this is a combination of things. But after seeing the truck run fine after cleaning the carb, that gives me more reason to blame it on the...

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

Edelbrock 1406 How else can you test the floats? When I opened her up both floats seemed to move freely....Gasket also looked fine. This carb is only about a year old with very little use

    Fuel Problems, HELP!

Alright first off I have an 84 k10 350 sm465 edelbrock 1406. Last weekend I took my truck out for wood. We went to some mountains near bye. One we get to the mountains, the truck starts running rough and I see white exhaust smoke, I know white smoke means water, but wouldn't I be burning...
