Glad you got a t-case! 82-83 wasn't the split for z bar and hydros, for the 833 anyways. My 84 was a z bar setup.

16's are also better because they hold air better at low pressures due to the lip design. 16.5's are useless for off road unless theyre bead lock.

Being 8 lug 15.5 was a typo. Prolly should be 16.5. They look like Mickey Thompson classic II wheels. Same wheels I had on my 82 K20. Oh how I miss big blue(kicks own ass):banghead:

Thanks! I already have the kit and the trans has 150k and grinds a little on a fast shift into 3rd so it needs a freshening up! Good to know about the input bearing though..thanks for that info HRPC

Yea it sure is. From what ive gathered they dont sell kits with a new countershaft for aluminum cased trannys. Ive only seen kits with the 10 5/8 shafts for iron cases. Its small in the description but the part # is bk130-ws. Ive looked that up and its a company called atc-pro king that...
I went with this kit

Here are some quick pics i snapped of the a833 in my 84. PO also kept all receipts and documentation from 1984, window sticker, order form with options ordered. Still has the jack and rpo sticker on the inner fender!
