New tires and painted rims!
Gotta start somewhere right? Since the tires were from the 90s and about to explode at any moment, I thought that was a good place to start. hoping to get started on the body soon. The tranny could use a rebuild too, so maybe do those at the same time? Itll be sad to have it out of commission...- Grandpas_Truck

New tires and painted rims!
$875 for 5 wheels. For the sand blast and powder coat. You could save quite a bit if you find someone with a sandblaster and do it yourself.- Grandpas_Truck

Running cold and rich. Idle mixture screws all the way in!
Update. So I let the engine get up as hot as it'll go. (Around 150) and the choke was only at about 45 degrees. Measured 14 volts at the choke. I adjusted the choke and now it is fully open. There was a loud hissing and sure enough, when I sprayed starter fluid near the primary throttle blades...- Grandpas_Truck

I had a very similar problem on my 86. Turn signals would work, but when I turned the headlights on, the turn signal indicators on the dash would light up, and the running/turn signal lights would be very dim, could hardly tell that they were on.
