Black or White
Hey, In my humble opinion that's a no-brainer ! Do it in orange and white. Also, I would suggest an off white like a cream color would compliment nicely with the orange. I'm an old guy and love two-tone. Did my last truck a 1984 Silverado LWB K10 in Apple Red and Frost White. Cheers! -

Keep in mind that GM built 100s of thousands of these trucks from 1973 through 1991 and the quality of the gauges used may very well have met a level of quality acceptance at the time of installation.
