AFR GAUGE addition?
i ran a wideband dual sensor setup on my 3.2 porsche; there are some caveats related to early sensor failures $$$ ... best to install a delay relay so the sensor gets warmed up before it gets electrically activated .. . you can prob'ly google that idea; its on the porsche forums & others ...- emoze

on my '84 i installed old manual vents on both sides with junkyard parts -
What could this random tube attached to the exhaust be?
in CA, pre-76 is exempt from smog inspections; just remove it & enjoy the truck ... (unfortunately my 84 is not exempt)- emoze

thinking of adding basic AFR gauge to my 84 454 with Qjet & dual exh for purpose of tuning; don't need wide-band; where should the sensor(s) be installed? (and would having one on each branch be necessary?) . (fwiw i run one on my MGB race car at the header collector point & it has been...- emoze

I guess I give up on the windows
- since the window motors grd to door, the only hard connection of door to body is thru the hinges or door latch - seems like a good thing to try would be a grd wire twixt the door & body to rule out poor grd thru those aged components ? -
Custom ignition switch not on column
poor boy solution - the column mechanism on mine was screwed up long ago - i bo't a generic ign switch & installed it into the hole where the clock used to be - (the clock was bad anyway) - alternative was to buy a column & all the remove/install hassle that goes with - in your case the...- emoze

great thread! related question: my 84 CUSTOM CRUISE III tends to surge when engaged; just a little, but enuf to be annoying; throttle cable seems to be correctly taught, engine vacuum is good; (454 turbohydro 400), ideas would be welcome :) p.s. i have read this thread: Cruise control works...- emoze

headlamp warning chime device & location '84
my 84 c20 driver manual says there is a "lights on" warning chime when Ign off; ... long long ago iirc i must have removed or disabled it ... that has cost me a dead battery a couple times :blah: where is it installed? , what is part number? , are they available? i am guessing it might just...- emoze

Wipers barley working
- had/have similar problem - super SLOW - sometimes stop mid glass when using washer - - blows fuse - have older re-man NAPA motor - per other wiper threads here , ordered a NEW motor per advise on other thread - not yet installed (all grounds are good, so that's not the problem) (mea ciulpa...- emoze

454 kickback/dieseling after shutdown?
does it come down to normal idle when you get off the pedal? very often - this can be caused by a throttle not closing completely - mine does that sometimes - could be idle arm adjustment; could be cruise arm or some other component is holding it open a bit; i've seen both problems &...- emoze
