    carburetor size on a 350

I like simplicity. My bone stock 350 Goodwrench crate engine runs just fine with a 600 cfm 1405/Performer dual plane Edelbrocks.

    Radiator help

The replacement copper/brass radiator I had installed back in 97 or so had been fixed once a couple years ago but finally **** the bed about 6 months back. Since there is no longer a radiator shop within 250 miles of me, I bought a Champion aluminum and so far is good to go. It was under $300

    SM465 shift boot

So, shift boot on my '85 K20 Suburban has seen better days. Will a 68-72 boot and retaining plate fit or is the mid 80's boot/retainer plate larger? As in are the earlier years smaller and not fit. I know my current OEM is squarish vs the 68-72 is more oval. Kinda like to spiff the old Burb up...

    camping - sleeping platform-

Back in 94 and in 95, when I was a river guide, I basically lived in my Suburban here in Texas and in West by God Virginia for a total of 8 months. It wasn't easy, just folded the rear seats down. I don't think I would do it again, even "camping" for a couple nights.

What have you done to your square lately??

So the bushings on the '85 K20 Suburban were well past their 35 year old expiration date. Just spent the last hour installing new urethane bushings on it. Yay!

What have you done to your square lately??

So I bought a couple New Old Stock throttle return springs off EeeeBaye and a new Stant locking gas cap from Amazoid since the original spring was 36 years old and the gas cap I bought 27 years ago when the Suburban was new to me. They both arrived in the mail today and were installed. Now the...

    84' GMC 350 motor rebuild

I was going to have a shop in Vegas rebuild the 350 on my '85 K20 Suburban, SM465, same rear diff as you, but 4.10 gears, back in 2008. Original engine had 325,000 on it. He talked me into a Goodwrench crate engine instead since it was a less expensive alternative. It basically duplicated my...

So Does Everyone HATE This Steering Wheel?

My power steering hasn't worked in three years. I'll fix it someday... ...my AC hasn't been functional since '95. Maybe I'll fix that someday as well

So Does Everyone HATE This Steering Wheel?

I am fine with the OEM wheel, I just put a leather cover on it to thicken it up

What have you done to your square lately??

Yep, there was nothing broken with the OEM knob, I just like the feel of the older knobs better. I learned to drive in my Grampa's 51 GMC pickup, same kind of knob, call it hand nostalgia
