Had to relocate the pin further up on the brake pedal arm bout 3/4" .. That move netted a fairy straight shot into the M/C .. Making the pushrod was a bit of a chore to do ... One side is 1/2" X 20T and the other side needed to be 3/8" X 24T .. Made it from a grade 8 bolt .. I'm petty...- dragstews

Seems that I jumped into somewhat of a job on my old truck .. Had the vacuum brakes from the 75 K15 donor truck on it for years, it worked alright but I've got to thinking about swapping the vacuum booster to a hydroboost unit .. Did some junkyard scouting and found one that was on a 1999 C30...- dragstews

On the 496 motor that's in the run stand for doing the break-in. Been having some problems with the used Hunt dist. after sending it to them and having it rebuilt it still don't work. Decided to use a new Accel HEI instead ... Fired right up ...- dragstews

Starter is almost done, just waiting on the ARP bolts to nail it on the engine block .. Installed the Nos solenoid fork that came in the mail today .. Did a bench test, sure seems healthy ..- dragstews

!! Great Scott !! Hunting down the rubber grommet turned into a adventure ... Google maps had me running down every backstreet known to man .. But I did finally find the shop .. The Field Case Rubber Grommet in the starter seen better days .. Wanted to replace it with a new one . Called a bunch of Auto stores that turned out to be a waste of time, did find it on eBay .. Ad said that it was a vintage item .. (Suddenly, I'm feeling very old) Cool Beans ... Found one...- dragstews

Got the starter for my truck together .. Big thanks goes to Perry Plischke aka idahovette Cast iron nose showed up today .. Thoughts was I could use the parts that came from the aluminum nose starter .. Nope, wasn't going to be that lucky .. The bendix shift lever forks are different ...- dragstews

Back on the run stand stroker motor .. Dealing with a few problems that seems to be parts at fault ... One is the starter gear mesh being way out in left field .. New Pioneer 168T flywheel and Jegs mini starter are not playing well together .. Turns about one turn and then start grinding !! Way...- dragstews

It was just a wee bit of Bondo .. Didn't have much Sin to hide .. Since it's behind the fender not going to brother with blocking the panel ... It'll be flat enough for color .. Next to do is pulling the mouse motor out so I can shoot color on the firewall ..- dragstews
