Should I go bigger u-joints
My weak link right now if I go with 1410 u-joints is the locking hubs on the front axle. They are MM 35 spline Dana 70 hubs. If I have something break on the rear end I probably deserve it. I also should have mentioned that I'm running Yukon chromoly axles with 35 spline outers in the Dana 60 front.- D-Rock

Should I go bigger u-joints
I have a 79 long bed that I'm rebuilding and I'm wondering if I need to go with bigger u-joints when I put it together. It has a 14 bolt ff and a Dana 60 front. 37 inch tires. I will be running 4.56 gears with Eaton Trutracs in both. I'm putting a big block in it with around 600hp, th400 and a...- D-Rock

What back spacing or offset do I need
Hi guys, I have a 79 k20 that I'm restoring. The truck already has 6" springs on all 4 corners and I'm considering a body lift also for clearance. Currently it has 35x12.5/16.5" and I want to go to a 17" or 18" wheel instead of the 16.5" for more selection of tires. I'm wanting to have it look...- D-Rock

NP205 TH350 to TH400 conversion
Ok, thank you for the info and help. I've tried looking around for a tcase that was with a 400 and all I can find so far is rebuilt ones for much more than I can do it myself for. The machine work might cost me a 6 pack or a trade for some electrical work so I'm not too concerned about that cost.- D-Rock

NP205 TH350 to TH400 conversion
The 400 came out of a 4wd so it should have the correct tail shaft. Advanced adapters makes a kit that has all of the parts but it's just over $600. How much are the parts by themselves, ballpark price?- D-Rock

NP205 TH350 to TH400 conversion
I currently have a TH350 with an NP205 transfer case, I am building a TH400 that I'm going to put into it. What all is needed to make my transfer case work with the TH400. I already know that my driveline lengths will be different and I'll need to move the cross member... I'm just concerned...- D-Rock
