    I tried looking at your driver's door module, but it doesn't appear on RA anymore. They didn't use to require programming. I don't recall if they were automatically programmed with the VIN on first power up (like some Power Mode Masters and XM Modules), or if they operated without that non-sense...

    Sounds like fun! Was GM still using a separate RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) module in the '08 with the GMLAN system? IIRC some trucks had a RKE module near the top of the dash on the passenger's side.

    If you look closely at the horns, there is a very oddly shaped head sticking up that is some sort of adjustment. I have not tried it myself, nor have the musical / note recognition to appreciate how it might change the sound.

    Pontiac V8s did seem to have a higher failure rate than other GM products. Interestingly, the Trophy 4 (1/2 of a 389 V8, '61-'63) supposedly had a really good timing chain setup that was good in the V8s too. The 1/2 a V8 was entirely too rough to get acceptable service out of the V8 set.

    I even ended up with Driver 1 & 2 remotes eventually. I was shocked to find the radio presets were specific to each remote / driver too!

    Locking a torque converter on a "cold" engine could allegedly cause driveability problems. GM allowed torque converters to lock at about 125F (engine temp) on various platforms, which is still quite cool.

    If these flood, they will kill the engine and fuel will overflow the carburetor. Have you checked to see if fuel is going into the crankcase?

    To the best of my knowledge (for seat belt, key-in ignition, headlights on), these 7 terminal units appeared in the 1985 models (B-Bodies). Prior to that, it was the same package with 4 terminals and 3 wires that plugged in else where.
